In our opinion, the best thing about this place is the care and creativity that clearly goes into every dish.<\/p><p>The menu features<b> homemade <\/b><b>Portuguese classics<\/b> like <a href=\"https:\/\/devourtours.com\/blog\/salt-cod\/\">salt cod<\/a> salad and Azorean beef stew, plus unique <i>petiscos <\/i>like <i>muxama<\/i> (smoked and dried tuna) and spicy pumpkin dip. But if you&rsquo;re already on your way back to Lisbon (or don&rsquo;t mind a short walk), check out Incomum By Lu&iacute;s Santos&mdash;<b>right around the corner from the train station.<\/b><\/p><p>Sintra was once the favorite holiday destination for Portuguese royals and aristocrats, and Incomum reflects that high-end history. Its <b>Mediterranean fusion menu<\/b> includes innovative takes on classics like <i>bacalhau &agrave; Br&aacute;s<\/i> and creative combinations like duck with <i>za&rsquo;atar<\/i> and scallops with passion fruit risotto. This place <b>specializes in dishes to share between two or three people<\/b>&mdash;think seafood rice, tiger prawns, codfish, and steak&mdash;as well as elevated appetizers like octopus <em>carpaccio<\/em> and beef <i>pica-pau<\/i>. There&rsquo;s also pasta, homemade burgers, and a kid&rsquo;s menu.<\/p><p>The<b> atmosphere at COMO is sleek and modern,<\/b> with touches of greenery and bold colors to brighten it up. This is one of the <b>most highly praised places to eat in Sintra,<\/b> located within the local market.<\/p><p>Through most of the week it <b>serves a set lunch menu that changes each day,<\/b> including a starter, main dish, drink, and dessert. Some dishes might include dairy or eggs, but there&rsquo;s always a vegan option.<\/p><p>Keep in mind that A Pra&ccedil;a has limited hours and is quite popular; plan ahead for an early lunch if your heart&rsquo;s set on going here. This small vegan caf&eacute; <b>serves a rotating selection of daily dishes<\/b> like lasagna, roasted seitan, tofu with tomato rice, and <i>moqueca<\/i> (a traditional Brazilian stew made with coconut milk).<\/p><p>You&rsquo;ll also find <b>homemade pastries and pancakes<\/b> on the menu; it&rsquo;s an especially good spot for Saturday brunch (though unfortunately, it&rsquo;s closed on Sundays and Mondays).
